When it comes to holiday style, I absolutely love getting all dolled up. The fancy jumpsuit that Nicole rocked the other day is right up my glam holiday style alley…but, truth be told, I’m more often than not in casual wear during the holiday season. There are so many holiday shopping errands to run…So many school functions to attend..So many cookies to be baked…Us mamas are BUSY with the a capital B this time of year and we need clothes that are cute, yet comfy in addition to our holiday finery right? So, I thought it would be fun to share with you a couple of my must have holiday style finds!
First off let’s talk layers…I live in Florida, so while it does occasionally get chilly in the winter, it’s often not chilly enough to warrant the heat that radiates through the malls, movie theaters, restaurants and such during this time of year. That’s why layers are so important to my holiday style. And one of my favorite layering pieces is the poncho. It can be thrown off in an instant which is clutch. Plus, plaid ponchos instantly add a holiday element to your outfits. One of my favorites is this Gap number. It’s warm, versatile and the epitome of casual chic. It works with distressed denim as well as it does with leather leggings!
Next let’s focus on footwear. When it comes to comfortable booties, Dansko can’t be beat. I have the Maria booties in both grey and black and wear them ALL fall and winter long. They’re just what my feet need to make it from school drop off to holiday shopping and back home to throw together a fun filled family holiday movie night. These booties were made to WORK y’all.
